  3. Take 5-6 curry leaves
  4. Get 1 tsp mustard seeds
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp asafoetida
  6. Take 1 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Get 2 tsp malvani masala
  8. Get as required Water
  9. Prepare 2 tbsp oil

  11. Get 2 tbsp grated coconut
  12. Get 1 green chilli
  13. Make ready 1 tbsp chopped coriander

Instructions to make Vala Chi Aamti:
  1. Heat oil in a kadhai add mustard seeds when they crackle add the asafoetida and curry leaves and mix.now add chopped onion and saute till they turn soft and translucent.
  2. Now add the turmeric, malvani masala, and saute cook for a minute,now add the peeled sprouted vaal mix well,add some hot water and let the cook for 10-15 minutes.
  3. In blender add coconut,chilli,garlic,ginger, coriander, cumin seeds with some water and blend all the ingredients till smooth.
  4. Now add the ground masala, adjust water and salt and cook 2-3 minutes.
  5. Vala Chi Aamti is ready it serve hot with steamed rice
