The ingredients needed to make Crockpot beans and smoked turkey:
  1. Take 3 1/3 cup water or enough to submerge ingredients
  2. Take 4 can 16 oz northern beans drained & rinse
  3. Prepare 1 can 16 oz kidney beans drained & rinse (can also use roman beans)
  4. Make ready 1 1/2 cup jennie-o turkey pastrami (cubed)
  5. Make ready 1 lb smoked turkey neck or 3 large pieces
  6. Take 14 oz can carrots (you can use 1/2 cup fresh, cut in small even sizes)
  7. Prepare 1 stick celery (washed & cut in half)
  8. Make ready 1 cup onion, chopped
  9. Take 1 tbsp minced garlic
  10. Take 1 tbsp olive oil
  11. Take 1 bay leaf
  12. Take 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  13. Prepare 3 pinch dry oregano
  14. Take 1/2 tbsp creole seasoning
  15. Prepare 1 tsp complete seasoning or your favorite
  16. Make ready 1 sazon goya with coriander & annatto (1 envelope)
  17. Make ready 1/2 cup ripped pitted black olives cut in halves (optional)

I actually slow cooked it in my CrockPot for several hours. Other than the smoked turkey ( and broth from the pot that we boiled the turkey in) I use a few other ingredients to season the green beans such as : minced garlic, diced tomatoes, and black pepper. Place turkey leg and dried peas in your slow cooker. It is always a good idea to "sort" your beans before adding to the pot.
