The ingredients needed to make spicy smoked lima beans:
  1. Take 1 1/2 each smoke turkey brumstike..
  2. Prepare 2 each onions
  3. Prepare 1 tsp salt
  4. Take 4 tbsp butter
  5. Make ready 1 tsp black pepper
  6. Take 1 tbsp Goya sazonador total seasoning
  7. Take 2 each Jalapeno pepper… seeded
  8. Prepare 1 can cambells cream of chicken soup
  9. Get 1 packages dryed baby lima beans
  10. Make ready 1 can whole sweet corn
  11. Prepare 1 tbsp sugar………. optional

Steps to make spicy smoked lima beans:
    1. cut up onions and add to smoke turkey and 6 cups of water. cook on medium heat for a good 4 hours. and add water as needed
  1. then remove smoke turkey drumstikes and let cool
  2. the reason for using smoke turkey is for the rightnflavor..
  3. add turkey back to pot.. and cut up jalapeno peppers an add other dry ingredients to pot
  4. wait for pot to come to boil and add baby lima beans ..let cook on medium heat for 2 hours
  5. add cans of corn plus cream of chicken.. let can for 45 mins and last add butter. to bond all the flovors together……
  6. Optional you can serve with rice or even cut up raw onions and add to soup at the end in your bowl

When I make lima beans, I like to make a really big batch. They freeze extremely well so don't worry if you overdo it. Serve this traditional southern dish like a soup or use a slotted spoon to take out the beans and meat. For extra flavor and color, add diced carrots and celery. Mince garlic, and when lima beans are cooked, drain, mix with garlic, lemon juice and hot-pepper flakes.
