  1. Get 500 gm sarso ka saag
  2. Make ready 200 palak
  3. Prepare 200 gm bathua
  4. Take 10-15 Garlic (agr jda dalna chahe)chopped
  5. Take 2 Onion (chopped
  6. Take 2-3 Green chilli
  7. Take 2-3tbsp Ginger chopped
  8. Prepare 2 Tomato
  9. Get as per taste Salt
  10. Make ready 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  11. Get 1tsp Dhaniya powder
  12. Take 1/4tsp Hing
  13. Take 1/2tsp Garam Masala
  14. Take 50/100 gm Ghee . /butter
  15. Get 11/2 cup Makke ka aata

  17. Take 500 gm Makke ka aata

Instructions to make Punjab special Makki di roti Sarson ka saag:
  1. (Sarso, palak, bathua)wash and chopped saags. Add salt and water into pressure cooker & cook over low heat for 3-4whistle.
  2. Remove extra water from saag. and keep saag water aside.(use after in saag, don't throw it) Mash with spatulla(blander) saag in the cooker until coarsely ground. stir.
  3. Put back saag water. and take a bowl and (liquid paste of makki ka aata)add stir continue and little fresh water & boil over slow flame - Add green chillies & ginger & cook till saag gets thick.
  4. Take tdka pan add 1 tbsp ghee add hing. red chilli, green chilli (1-2) also roasted. Pour - Mix into saag & garnish with butter. And roasted red chilli.
  5. Take a kadhai For tadka, add ghee/butter, add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, red chilli powder; haldi, dhania & saute until onions are light brown.add tomatoes and saute till soft.
  6. Makke ka aata add water and make dough. And make roti on tawa.
