The ingredients needed to make Sarso Saag with Makki Roti:
  1. Prepare 750 grams sarso leaves
  2. Prepare 250 grams palak leaves
  3. Make ready 250 grams chenopodium
  4. Prepare 3 green chillies, chopped
  5. Get 1 +1/2 tsp salt
  6. Prepare 300 ml water
  7. Get 2 tsp clarified butter
  8. Get 1/2 cup makki atta
  9. Make ready 1 tsp jaggery powder
  10. Get 1 onion chop
  11. Prepare 1 tsp chopped ginger
  12. Take 1 tsp chopped garlic
  13. Get 2 tsp oil
  14. Get 2 pinches hing
  15. Take 2 cups makki flour
  16. Take 1/2 tsp ajwain
  17. Prepare 2 tsp oil
  18. Take as per taste salt
  19. Make ready as required lukewarm water

Makki ki Roti is little thick so make sure not to roll it out too thin like regular chapati. Now slowly transfer the roti from plastic sheet to your palm. Brown spots or charred marks will appear once roti is cooked. Transfer to plate and and smear either white butter or ghee.

Instructions to make Sarso Saag with Makki Roti:
  1. Take a sarso leaf, chenopodium and palak leaf clean, chop and wash water drain properly. Take a pressure cooker add 300 ml water then water boil add saro leaf,chenopodium and palak leaf add hing and salt.
  2. Take a chilli chop and put in a pressure cooker cover with lid and cook for 1 hour in slow heat.
  3. After cook add jaggery powder, clarified butter and makki atta mix and whisk with whisker.
  4. Take a wok add oil garlic saute add onion and ginger saute add tomato puree then oil released add saag mix.
  5. Take a mixing bowl add atta, salt, ajwain mix add lukewarm water mix and make a dough.
  6. Take a nonstick tawa hot add some oil make a makki roti apply oil fry with both sides.
  7. Then enjoy sarso saag and makki roti garnish clarified butter.
