The ingredients needed to make Makki ki roti & sarso ka saag:
  1. Take For sarso ka saag:
  2. Prepare 500 g mustard leaves
  3. Get 250 g spinach leaves
  4. Take 125 g bathua leaves
  5. Get 2 big chopped onion
  6. Prepare 2 chopped tomato
  7. Prepare 2 chopped green chilli
  8. Prepare 1 tsp ginger paste
  9. Take 1 tsp garlic paste
  10. Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
  11. Make ready 1 tsp coriander powder
  12. Get 1 tsp Garam Masala
  13. Prepare To taste salt
  14. Prepare For makki ki roti :-
  15. Make ready 3 cup maize flour
  16. Prepare as needed water
  17. Make ready 2 tsp ghee
  18. Take 1/2 tbs ajwain
  19. Get To taste salt

Like most rotis in the Indian subcontinent, it is baked on a tava. This step by step photo recipe of Makki Ki Roti uses plastic sheet technique that makes rolling easier with rolling pin. Instructions to make Makki ki roti & sarso ka saag:
  1. Clean and chop all the greens and then wash them again running water to remove dirt. Repeat the process 3-4 times.
  2. In a pressure cooker add all the ingredients and cook it for, 8-10 minutes.
  3. Put the greens along with stock and blender and blend it for a min.
  4. Take a bowl and pour the blender greens in it. Now take a pan,heat ghee. Add garlic paste and ginger paste after that add chopped onion and saute it and add chopped tomato and green chilli add the saag and stir fry them. Keep stirring for few minutes.
  5. For makki ki roti :-
  6. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Add the water and knead well. Roll the dough and make small size balls of the dough.
  7. Roast the makki ki roti on a tawa with a few drops of ghee until it's brown and thoroughly cooked.
  8. Serve hot with sarso kA saag.
