The ingredients needed to make Makki Ki roti:
  1. Prepare 2 cup Corn meal two cup
  2. Make ready according to taste Salt
  3. Take 1tbsp Carrom seeds one table spoon
  4. Take 1tsp Red chilli powder
  5. Prepare as required Unsalted butter or ghee
  6. Prepare as required Water

Steps to make Makki Ki roti:
  1. Sieve corn flour in a large bowl.
  2. Add carrom seeds, salt and pepper in it. Mix properly.
  3. Add warm water & knead to make a soft dough.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls.
  5. Take each ball between dampened palms to make a roti of medium thickness.
  6. Second option is roll out each ball between the folds of greased plastic sheet.
  7. Heat a tawa. Put some oil on it.
  8. Place roti on it. Turn it after one min.
  9. Spread some butter or ghee on it. Turn over.
  10. Cook till both sides become crispy and golden.
  11. Serve hot with sarso ka saag.
