Instructions to make Sarson da saag te makki di roti:
  1. Boil water in a cooker.
  2. Add chopped mustard leaves, spinach, chenopodium, green chilli.
  3. Cook for a while on medium flame for 15 minutes.
  4. Mash the leaves add corn flour and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Put off the flame.
  6. Now heat ghee in a deep pan.
  7. Add finely chopped garlic and ginger.
  8. Fry both the ingredients.
  9. Add pieces of dry red chillies.
  10. Keep the flame low and add the mashed leafy vegetable.
  11. Stir and cook it for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  12. Add salt and cook for 2 minutes.
  13. Put off the flame and serve with makki di roti.

  15. In a bowl add maize flour, salt and lukewarm water.
  16. Knead until dough becomes a ball.
  17. Divide into 6 equal small balls.
  18. Take two plastic zip lock bag, place one dough ball and press it between the plastic sheets.
  19. Now press the dough ball a little with your palms and flattened it and make a round shaped roti.
  20. Heat griddle and fry makki di roti from both sides with pure ghee.
