  1. Prepare 250 gms Saarso/mastard leaves
  2. Take 1 piece Ginger
  3. Get 5-6 Garlic cloves
  4. Get 3-4 Onions, chopped
  5. Make ready 2-3 Tomatoes
  6. Take as per taste Salt
  7. Take 1 Tbsp Ghee
  8. Take 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp Dry red chilli powder
  10. Take 1 tsp Coriander powder
  11. Take 1 pinch Hing/asaphoetida
  12. Get 2-3 Green chilies chopped
  13. Prepare 2-3 Dry red chillies
  14. Take 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  15. Take 1/2 cup Makki ka aata/maize flour
  16. Make ready 1 bowl Cooked tuar Dal
  17. Make ready 1/2 cup milk
  18. Prepare 1 tsp sugar

Instructions to make Saarso Ka saag:
  1. First of all, pick the leaves and rinse well. After they wash them properly. Now chop finely.
  2. Heat a pan and add 1cup of water I it. Now add the saarso in it and cover it to bring a boil.
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste and 1/2tsp salt. And again cook it for 5 min.
  4. Cool it and make a blend.cook this blend with salt,milk,sugar,maize flour,tuar Dal and cook for 10mn.
  5. Now heat another pan and add ghee to melt.
  6. Now add Cumin seeds, green chilies,dry red chillies, green chilies and chopped onions.Fry them until become golden.
  7. Add tomatoes and fry again.
  8. Also add dry spices.
  9. Add this tadka to the cooked saag and mix well. enjoy with makki ki roti or plain roti.
