The ingredients needed to make Sambhar vada:
  1. Make ready 250 gm white udad dal
  2. Prepare 1 finally chopped onion
  3. Take 1 finally chopped green chilli
  4. Make ready 1 tea spoon jeera
  5. Make ready 1 pinch soda
  6. Prepare to taste Salt
  7. Get Oil for deep fry
  8. Take For sambhar
  9. Take 250 gm mix veg (pumpkin, brinjal, giurd bottle, tomato)
  10. Get 2 Drum stick cuted in 3inch
  11. Take 1 bowl arahar and moong Dal mix
  12. Prepare 2 chopped onion
  13. Prepare 1 chopped tomato
  14. Take 5-6 curry patta
  15. Take 4-5 garlic cloves chopped
  16. Get 1/2 tsp haldi powder
  17. Make ready 1/2 tsp garam masala
  18. Make ready 1/2 tsp Dhaniya powder
  19. Prepare 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  20. Make ready 1 tsp sambhar masala
  21. Prepare 2 tbs oil
  22. Make ready to taste Salt
  23. Take 1/4 tsp rai
  24. Prepare 1/4 tsp jeera
  25. Get 1 pinch Hing
  26. Get 2 whole dried red chilli
  27. Take 3 tbsp imli pulp
  28. Get Some sugar acoding to your test
  29. Take 2 tb fresh green coriander

Puffy Dal Vada dipped in hot Sambhar and its distinctive Indian fragrance has no other alternate. It is popular in South Indian and Sri Lankan cuisines. I make this Sambhar with Toor dahl, and eat it with rice for the main meal of the day. Sambar vadai is urad dal vadai, soaked in mild and flavourful sambar.

Steps to make Sambhar vada:
  1. For vada:-. Soak udad daal for 5-6 hr. Grind it without water. Then again keep it farmantaion for 8hr.
  2. Now take udad daal add salt.jeera, soda, onion, green chilli.mix it well.
  3. Apply some water from the bowl on both your hands. Take some batter in your right hand from the bowl.give it a round shape. With your thumb make a hole in the center.
  4. Heat oil in pan. Once the oil because hot, pour the medu vada into the hot oil.cook on medium flame. Drain medu vadas on kitchen tissue to remove excess oil.
  5. For sambhar:-. Wash Dal, vegetables and cook in pressure cooker with 3cups water for 3-4 whistles. Take pan. Heat oil. Add hing, jeera,and Rai, add curry parts and dry red chilli. Add ginger garlic.add chopped onion then add tomatoes and drum sticks. Add all masala powder. Sprinkle some water on masala. Fry it nicely on low flame.
  6. Add boil Dall with vegetables mix it add 1 glass of water add salt.add imli pulp and some sugar.cook it for 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander.serve it with vada.
